Bright eyes.

A collection of eye make-up designs that’ll make you say WOW!

(None of these are my images.)

Looking hot, without spending a lot.

Today I had an interview for an internship with Big Buddha hand bags company in downtown Los Angeles at the California Mart. I wanted to look my best, and at the same time I wanted to look original for that extra “wow factor.” After completing my look for the day, I realized how INEXPENSIVE my entire outfit was and thought it was a perfect example of how to look amazing on a dime.

First let me express my love for this color combo. This teal dress is such a deep, magnificent color. Whether you are black, brown or white, this color stands out so beautifully on any complexion. Neutral shades of light tan, taupe, beige or cream go very well with a bright turquoise or teal blue. Plus, the colors make for a great spring or summer outfit.

Outfit break down:

Dress is by Fire Los Angeles and I got it at Ross for $7.99

Scarf/shawl I got at a small vintage boutique in Burbank for $2.00 (Love the fringe on this scarf, in case you didn’t notice, fringe is in!)

Necklace was purchased at a flea market for $1.00

This necklace actually has two chains on it, and I simply wear one chain over my body and around my waist, while the other just hangs like a regular necklace. Other than actual body chain jewelry, I haven’t seen this before. I enjoy trying to figure out new ways to wear something.

The ring I have on is a gorgeous mood ring that I got from the Icing and it was $10.50 (Most expensive piece of the outfit so far!)

The bracelet was a gift from my girlfriend.

These super comfortable wedges are by Guess and I got these at Ross for $25.99

These wedges were such a great find! Not only can I walk long distances in comfort, but they go with practically every color and they look great with jeans, a skirt or a dress. Gotta love wedges! I love how lately I’m seeing materials and fabrics sewn over the cork wedge in different shapes and pieces:

Christian Louboutin

Miu Miu

A great new look for wedge platforms!

So back to the subject at hand, the total cost for this outfit is $47.48! What can I say, I like to look hot, without spending a lot! It’s all about finding inexpensive main pieces (the dress in this case) and spending a little more on the accessories.

For the love of fashion, at least make sure you’ve got some killer shoes.

P.S. I got the internship! :)
